This one day course will provide the student with a block of instruction illustrating current practices and credible training protocols associated with Staging Area Manager duty. A Staging Area is a temporary site established in close proximity to the location of an emergency incident to manage arriving first responder resources, receive materiel to support victims of disasters, and expedite response and recovery missions. Since this important training is not currently structured or offered by the National Emergency Training Center or Emergency Management Institute, subject matter will be gleaned from best practices performed during actual incidents by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group and other response agencies.
